Sienna Mae Penhaligon is a beautiful, quiet seamstress living a careful and uneventful life in a tiny cottage with her Nona on the outskirts of Elderwood Hollow. Nona’s failing health forces her into service as handmaiden to Governor Alaric Flynn and Governess Isadora at Thistlecroft Manor. Sienna Mae is drawn into a world far beyond her understanding. It is evident from the moment Sienna Mae steps foot upon the marbled floors of Thistlecroft, that Isadora’s disdain and distaste for her is palpable. Beneath the manor’s polished floors and glittering chandeliers lies a web of lies, scandal, and carefully concealed controversies, and Sienna Mae finds herself entangled at its centre. A lavish evening of glitz, wealth, and fragile egos erupts into a humiliating spectacle that sends her fleeing the manor in tears, her dignity shattered before an audience of watchful and judging eyes. She returns to Nona’s cottage seeking comfort, only to be told that the night’s cruelty was part of something far greater than she could possibly comprehend. By morning, everything has changed. The world appears brighter. Senses are sharper and heightened. And Nona has vanished. A train ride to Westridge County Bank unveils long-hidden secrets she was never meant to uncover. What awaits her is not simply wealth or inheritance, but a legacy steeped in danger, a history of power, deception, and buried truths that will reshape her life entirely. Lysbeth Thorne / Liz Emberson exists across two distinct timelines, inhabiting both an ancient and a modern world. In one reality, she is Lysbeth Thorne, an earth guardian, healer, and spell-weaver whose power is drawn directly from soil, root, stone, and sky. Living in a time when the land was vast and unbroken, she understands the language of animals, the medicinal properties of herbs, and the unseen energetic threads that bind nature together. Her role is both protector and witness, safeguarding the balance between human need and the earth’s quiet intelligence. In another reality, she lives as Liz Emberson, a journalist and investigative reporter based in 2030. Analytical, articulate, and driven by truth, Liz reports on environmental change, climate shifts, land rights, and the societal cost of ecological decline. Where Lysbeth works with intuition and ritual, Liz works with evidence, research, and public discourse. Uniquely, she moves between these two worlds. She remembers what the earth once was, pure, biodiverse, and in natural harmony, and she sees clearly what it has become. Through this dual existence, she carries ancient botanical knowledge, ecological wisdom, and an intrinsic understanding of natural cycles into the modern era, influencing her reporting with depth and foresight beyond academic study. In turn, she brings modern insight, scientific awareness, future consequence, and systemic understanding, back to her ancient world, subtly shaping her actions with knowledge of what unchecked imbalance can lead to. Together, Lysbeth and Liz form one consciousness across time: a bridge between past and future, instinct and intellect, magic and method, devoted to restoring balance between humanity and the living earth.

Orion Veyron is a Memory Archivist living in the year 2110 within Arcadia-9, a floating city where emotion has been engineered out of society. In this controlled future, memories are stored, edited, and erased in the name of progress. Orion’s role is to preserve fragments of humanity before they disappear. While cataloguing restricted archives, he begins documenting communications that should not exist, messages that cross time, memory, and reality itself. His letters offer a rare window into a future that has sacrificed feeling for survival, exploring memory, identity, and what remains of humanity when emotion is treated as a flaw.

Queen Seraphyne Valeriis is the newly appointed sovereign of the Kingdom of Aurelion, ascending the throne after the reign of the corrupt King Aurelius. Though history will record her as composed and restrained, her rule begins under the shadow of deception and unrest left behind by her predecessor. Seraphyne is gifted with extraordinary sight. She perceives far beyond the surface of things, through flesh and bone, through walls and fortifications, through sealed chambers and hidden vaults. Illness, fracture, corruption, and concealed truths reveal themselves to her without effort. Her gift, however, is bound to a curse. She has no voice of her own. Unable to speak her knowledge aloud, she relies upon those who bear the symbol. Through them, she may act and be heard, their voices serving as the only conduit through which her truth may enter the world.
